Who is Bryce Simpson?
I'm Bryce Simpson, a senior in Computer Graphics Technology with a concentration in Game Studies and Web Development/Design at Purdue University. My career goal in the industry is to become a systems designer, game programmer or a scripter. Ever since I discovered video games as a young child, I've always been curious about how they work underneath the hood. Even today while I play, I still ponder how developers got certain systems and mechanics to work effectively or how they created such a fun experience from scratch. I'd say my end goal in this industry is to implement those experiences and techniques into my own work, so that other people will come to understand why games are one of the greatest forms of media ever created.

I consider myself an analyzer who's good at keeping the team focused on the objective at hand and always thinking about what can be done to improve the final product. I may not have a considerable amount of experience like individuals who are already in industry, but I feel I've experienced so many different types of games that I understand what makes or breaks them and can implement design choices to combat any issues.

Whenever anybody asks me what my favorite game is, I can never give them a definite answer. I think there's too many quality games out there to pick one. If I was to list a few of my favorite games, I'm a huge fan of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, Knights of the Old Republic, Monster Hunter, The Legend of Zelda and Persona 5, to name a few. My favorite genre consists of any kind of RPG. Action RPG, turn-based, JRPGs, I love them all.
